Our mission is simple: to honor our family’s olive-growing heritage by bringing truly authentic, organic Greek extra virgin olive oil to people who refuse to compromise on quality. It is a commitment to preserve a living legacy, from our ancestral groves in Kalamata to our daughter, Melina Maria, and the next generation.
A family legacy rooted in care and craft
Olive farming is central to the company’s heritage. Founder Dino grew up tending family groves in Meligalas, where he learned that quality is cultivated over time rather than manufactured. The company is named after Melina Maria, whose recovery from a premature birth inspired a long-term commitment to health, care, and responsible stewardship.
In 2008, Dino and his wife Kat decided to return to their Greek roots, leaving the corporate world to start Melina with nothing more than a small sample bottle of their family’s dark, golden olive oil, a shared passion for honest ingredients, and a handshake with their first restaurant partner.
